There are four steps to accomplishment: first, plan purposefully; second, prepare prayerfully; third, proceed positively; fourth, pursue persistently. -- Unknown

Sweet or Sour Your Attitude Will Make A Difference

From the time we are both until we die we are always learning and growing. One of the things we develop early on is our personality. But one of the most important
aspects of our development is the attitude we embrace.

As business owners it is vital that we train ourselves to be people magnets and not sour pusses. We all can relate to the picture of a dour old-maid schoolmarm who clearly represents a sour attitude in its purest form. However, you don't have to look like her to be her.

When you picture this image in your mid how does that image make you feel? If you were to meet her in person what would you want to do? For most of us the answer is the same. We would want to avoid her or get away from her as quickly as possible. As business owners we need to remember that truth.

The fact is, if you are a solopreneneur, it is up to you and you alone to generate interest in your products and/or services. So what can you do to become a people magnet? How can you quickly and easily generate feelings of likeability and trust? Smile. Yes I hear you, your business is online, your communication is mostly written, but believe me your smile will shine through in your words
whether written or spoken. Attitude seeps into every fiber of your being. If you go looking for trouble you will most likely find it. A positive attitude generates goodwill, and goodwill generates trust, and trust is the groundwork for financial success.

Now that you’re smiling add enthusiasm to the mix. If you totally believe in what you have to offer you won’t have to 'sell'your products. You will simply 'tell' about them. And isn't generating sales while helping people your ultimate goal? Focus on them and what you have to offer rather than you and what you need. If when you meet someone new you remember this one rule you will find it
easy to bridge the gap between them and the sale.

Don't be afraid to take this one step further. If you can't help them or don't have something they need at that time but you know someone who can or does, introduce the two of them. Don't just give them an email address or phone number actually introduce them. This will only lead to goodwill and appreciation for you. You never know where the hand of friendship will lead, but often you will come full circle and you may find it will generate referrals from unexpected sources.

It is when you genuinely care about others, are willing to go out of your way to help them, and believe totally in your product or service that you will endear the people you come in contact with to you. Remember that old saying, people buy from those they know, like, and trust.
